Job Description:
Role: We are looking for an inspirational VP of Technology to lead our innovative Logistics Collaboration Solution. You would own end to end responsibility for all initiatives in technology to drive our Product.
Key responsibilities include:
- You will work closely with CXO’s, sales, marketing, product management and implementation teams to align and understand the customer's priorities and product deliverables.
- You will be responsible for preparation of product priority, outlining product objectives, IT requirements, staffing requirements for proposed systems.
- You will be responsible for managing product milestones, deployment cycles & delivery of the overall product.
- You will work with product management and engineering teams for key decisions on architecture and implementation of scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
- You will be responsible to drive the performance of applications and teams through key metrics and the delivery of objectives in a time bound manner. ? You will be expected to bring thought leadership to advance the overall state of technology and customer focus for the entire engineering organization.
- You will lead, grow, recruit and mentor people. Identify and develop leaders for the future. Qualifications:
- 8 to 12 years of experience in Software Engineering with at least 5+ years as an engineering leader in an Enterprise software product company.
- Must be hands-on with writing code and highly capable of helping the team with any technical problems.
- Experience in all facets of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, designing, coding, testing, deployment and production support.
- Demonstrated experience in leading B2B enterprise grade SaaS products that can integrate with and work across the various ERPs, CRM, WMS tools.
- Strong knowledge of architecture, Database Design, MySQL, NoSQL, AI ML, NodeJS, Kafka, Redis, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Solr and one or many of the top component-based JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue, etc. (We use NodeJS & ReactJS)
- Experience with building global scale cloud-native systems and modern tech stack: AWS, Java, RESTful API, and container-based application.
- Accomplished practitioner of Agile practices with experience guiding teams through planning, development, rollout and migration.
- Experience in developer ecosystem - code-repository, bug-tracking, release-tracking, CI/CD etc.
- Experience creating/supporting production software/systems and a proven track record of identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks for production systems.
- Hands-on technical leadership with proven ability to build high performance talent.
- Fast at decision making, learning, problem solving.
- Excellent team building, mentoring and coaching skills are a must-have.
- Experience in leading large geo distributed software engineering teams.
- Exposure to or understanding of the logistics industry would be an additional advantage.
