Vendor Development//STS Engineer
Job Description:
Qualification: Diploma or BE in Mechanical, Production, Plastic
Experience: 2 to 4 yrs exp in supplier quality & development
Job profile:
Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales.
Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
Arrange NPD material as per new development project plan and approved cost.
Working with NPD team to gather material requirement, understand and share with supplier.
Supplier PPM Monitoring and control
Track all material for Production/projects and make available for management review.
Arrange pilot batches for initial production lots and then handover to regular Purchase.
Escalate issues on time to meet project deadlines
Relevant experience in Component development and vendor development.
Excellent knowledge of Mechanical part development which includes moulded parts, casting, machining parts, extrusion and sheet metal.
Basic knowledge of Electronic part development such as semiconductor, passive, electromechanical and electrical parts.
Good knowledge of suppliers in and around Mumbai & Pune
Awareness of the part development process and project management.
Salary: Rs 2.50 to 3.0 Lac per annum
