Job Description:

We have an urgent opening for the position of  Accountant for a reputed company in Real Estate industry at Navi Mumbai (Panvel/ CBD Belapur)location.

 

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience in income tax, GST, TDS/TCS, and day-to-day accounting using Tally software. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with income tax, GST, and TDS/TCS regulations, as well as maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

Income Tax Management: 

  • Stay updated with the latest income tax policies and regulations.
  • Analyze income tax implications and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
  • Prepare and file income tax returns accurately and on time.
  • Liaise with external tax consultants as needed.

GST Compliance: 

  • Manage GST registration, invoicing, and filing of GST returns. 
  • Monitor changes in GST policies and regulations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns.
  • Handle GST audits and inquiries from tax authorities.

TDS/TCS Management:

  • Handle deduction and deposit of TDS/TCS as per applicable rates.
  • Prepare and file TDS/TCS returns in compliance with regulatory requirements. 
  • Reconcile TDS/TCS liabilities and ensure timely payments.

Day-to-Day Accounting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records using Tally software.
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements. 
  • Reconcile bank statements and accounts receivable/payable.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis for management review.
  • Assist in internal and external audits.
  • Support the finance team in ad-hoc projects and tasks.

Candidates Profile:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and taxation. 
  • In-depth knowledge of income tax, GST, TDS/TCS laws, and regulations. 
  • Proficiency in Tally software and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
