Job Description: General Manager

 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to oversee all departments within our organization. The General Manager will be responsible for defining Key Result Areas (KRAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), setting performance management system (PMS) goals, and conducting regular reviews. Additionally, the General Manager will handle escalations and ensure the smooth functioning and growth of the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Planning:

 

Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational objectives.

Align departmental goals with the overall strategic direction of the company.

 

Performance Management:

 

Define KRAs and KPIs for each department and individual.

Implement performance management systems and processes.

Monitor and evaluate employee performance against set goals.

Provide feedback and coaching to improve performance.

 

Goal Setting and Review:

 

Set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) goals for departments and teams.

Conduct regular performance reviews to assess progress towards goals.

Adjust goals and strategies as needed to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

 

Departmental Oversight:

 

Supervise and coordinate the activities of all departments.

Ensure efficient collaboration and communication between departments.

Monitor departmental budgets and resource allocation.

 

Escalation Handling:

 

Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated issues and conflicts.

Resolve conflicts and address concerns in a timely and effective manner.

Escalate issues to higher management when necessary.

Leadership and Team Development:

 

Provide strong leadership and guidance to department heads and staff.

Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Identify training and development needs and facilitate relevant programs.

 

Stakeholder Management:

 

Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, and other events.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Proven experience in a senior management role, preferably as a General Manager or similar position.

Strong understanding of performance management principles and practices.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to think strategically and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Experience in handling escalations and resolving conflicts.

Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and best practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
