Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical Systems Management: Manage and maintain all mechanical systems within the TMT plant, including but not limited to rolling mills, cooling beds, furnace systems, and material handling equipment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and longevity of machinery and equipment. Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Troubleshooting: Lead troubleshooting efforts to identify and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
- Project Management: Oversee mechanical engineering projects within the TMT plant, from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate plant processes and mechanical systems to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards. Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all plant personnel.
- Team Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians within the mechanical engineering team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and project progress. Prepare regular reports and presentations for management review.
