Sr. Manager Network & Security (SME / Architect Level)

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Network Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network administration, particularly in routing, switching, and network security. Holding CCNA/CCNP or higher certifications is mandatory for this role. This role will require hands on knowledge in configuration, Network security, routing, etc. The candidate should be able to troubleshoot issues as and when required and also have the ability to present RCAs and solutions as and the situation demands

Education: bachelor’s degree in computer science, Diploma in Engineering or MCA

Certification: CCNA/CCNP or higher

Experience:

Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in a technical role involving networking , network administration and  information security.

5+ years in Cloud network setup, Hybrid network connectivity, Cloud security products

Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructures.

Should have experience in Managed Services for clients based in US

Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructures.

Ensure network security and compliance with organizational policies.

Configure and troubleshoot routers and switches to optimize network performance.

Implement and manage routing protocols.

Monitor network performance and proactively address issues.

Implement strategies for network optimization and capacity planning.

Implement and manage security measures to safeguard the network.

Conduct regular security audits and address vulnerabilities.

Provide timely resolution to network-related issues.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation.

Create and update network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of network components.

Work closely with vendors to evaluate and implement new technologies.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the IT team.

Conduct training sessions to enhance the team's technical capabilities.

Willing to work in 24/7 Environment Managing TEAM and Shifts including US and EMEA Region

 Technical Skill

In-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols & network security practices and protocols.

Proficient in network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.

Proven experience (10 years) in network administration, with a strong understanding of networking protocols, technologies, and architectures.

Hands-on experience with network hardware/software, including Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and other leading vendors.

Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark).

Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex network issues.

Strong understanding of network security principles and practices, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols.

Proven leadership abilities, including team management, project management, and decision-making skills.

Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Candidate should have knowledge of Firewall Management including the ASA firewall, VPN, Handson experience in CISCO Umbrella, Azure & AD, PALOALTO firewall, Firewall policy Management, packet flow in Cisco and FORTINET/PALOALTO firewalls.

Azure Firewall management & AWS firewall Management, Web content filtering

Good hands-on experience in Cloud native services in Azure and AWS e.g. Azure VWAN, AWS transit gateway, NAT gateway, AWS network manager , Security group. Deployment of SDWAN solution, integrating with Cloud setup.

Migration of MPLS to SDWAN setup for Hybrid cloud connectivity- Products Cisco Miraki, Cisco SDWAN, Fortinet SDWAN. Micro segmentation of a flat network, VLAN segregation & subnetting etc.

Act as a subject matter expert in the design of Cloud networking components and deployment

Experience deployment and configuration of virtual appliance from multiple OEMs like, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, F5, Cisco Advanced Services, etc,

Our strong preference is a proven Network and Security background in Internet and Security technologies such as SWG, Sandboxing, FireWall, DLP, VPNs, MPLS, SD-WAN or WAN Optimization.

Strong customer management skills during and post incident response and the ability to influence our clients choices.

You will have a detailed working knowledge of web based security and network infrastructure, Security Proxies, such as NGFW, SSL/IPSec VPNs, and Firewalls.

Configure and troubleshoot Zscaler environments including Internet Access (ZIA), Private Access (ZPA), Digital Experience (ZDX) and Cloud Protection (ZCP) solutions as well as general network connectivity, communication, and authentication services and devices.

Expert in Zscaler products, features, and capabilities, Security, authentication protocols, and processes such as PKI, Windows/ Azure AD, Firewalls, and Web Proxies, and Cloud and network application access, threat protection, firewall filtering, access control, and data protection.
