As a Chartered Accountant specializing in the construction industry, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of our company. Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning and Analysis:

   • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast project costs, revenues, and cash flows.
   • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.
   • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.

2. Budgeting and Cost Control:

   • Collaborate with project managers to establish project budgets and monitor spending against budgeted targets.
   • Implement cost control measures to mitigate risks of budget overruns and ensure projects remain financially viable.
   • Conduct regular cost reviews and recommend adjustments to budget allocations as necessary.

3. Financial Reporting and Compliance:

   • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
   • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.
   • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate audits and provide necessary documentation.

4. Tax Planning and Compliance:

   • Develop tax strategies to optimize tax efficiency and minimize liabilities.
   • Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
   • Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company's financial position.

5. Risk Management:

   • Identify financial risks associated with construction projects and develop strategies to mitigate them.
   • Assess insurance needs and coordinate with insurance providers to procure appropriate coverage.
   • Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud or misappropriation.

6. Financial Forecasting and Cash Management:

   • Manage cash flow effectively to ensure sufficient liquidity for ongoing operations and project expenditures.
   • Forecast cash requirements and facilitate arrangements for financing or credit facilities when needed.
   • Optimize working capital management to improve efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) designation with relevant experience in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and project costing.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable insights.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and accounting software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and documentation.
