Job Description:

Checking that patients are not allergic to any medication that is about to be given to them. Making a clear, accurate and immediate record of all medicine that has been administered to a patient. Maintaining a safe working and nursing environment for all. Supervising the work of junior nursing staff. Explaining to patients the treatment they are about to receive. Giving feedback to new nurses who come on duty at the end of a shift. Disposing of hazardous materials properly. Reviewing a patient’s medical history. Dealing with any patient complaints promptly and in line with the hospital complaints policy.
