Job Description:

The position will have the responsibility of assisting Category Head – Water Heaters.
He/She will be responsible for assisting the Category Head in the development of product specifications,
product development & go-to-market activities. He/She should monitor competition activities/offerings on
a regular basis and be able to compile and disseminate competitive program. The position will be
responsible for product marketing support and help the Category Head in creating sales tools for
supporting sales force. He/She will be responsible for creating training materials, fact sheets and product
comparison presentations. He/She should be willing to travel regularly for market visits to gauge trends
basis discussion with retailers/distributors/end consumers and sales team. He/She will be responsible for
regular trackers/sales data analysis to indicate trends and highlights.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
• Competition Benchmarking
o Maintaining Pricing data of key competition models according to markets and channels
o Create and maintain database of competition models based on Product features and
USPs.
o Get market data on special schemes and seasonal offers from competition.
o Track advertisements from major competition brands in Print, TV and online platforms.
Usage of I Bank Live tool for capturing above data.
o Procurement of competition SKUs – New launches, best sellers as necessary
o Participate in product tear-downs with Engineering and gather crucial information on
product construction, working and costing.

• Data Gathering and Analysis
o Compile Primary sales data on regular basis and prepare dashboard having channel
wise, marketwise volume and value data.
o Track the sales of new products.
o Compile Tertiary data (WH Installations) and report on a regular basis.
• Promoter Data tracking
o Track WH sales in Key Accounts, MOR and GT promoter counters
o Get sales data of competition from top counters and analyze the trends.
o Connect with Top promoters on regular basis for feedback on sales of WH.
• Consumers connect – Project Outreach
o Drive ratings and reviews of WH models in Amazon and Flipkart platforms.
o Analyze the consumer feedback and prepare action plan for addressing the concerns of
consumers.
• New Product Development
o Prepare preliminary spec and ECR to kickstart new product development.
o Competition benchmarking and comparison with the proposed new product.
o Track the status of key project milestones with WH project manager.
• Field Trial Management – NPD and Major product upgrades
o Gather customer data according to the focus markets.
o Shortlisting of candidates in line with the requirement
o Liaise with engineering, service and logistics for product dispatch and installation.
o Prepare Field trial questionnaire and capture feedback on regular basis.
o Visit customer sites and get firsthand information of product usage and performance.
• Display SKU (Dummies) Management
o Coordinate with regional sales teams for dummies requirement.
o Month wise planning and Issue of forecast to Production planner.

o Coordinate the production and track the status.
o Facilitate billing and deployment.
o Track the deployment status on random sampling basis.
• Creatives
o Assist the category head in development of communication master and adaptations into
various POS inventories.
o Facilitate creation of A+ contents for eCOM platforms based on product briefing.
• Agency coordination
o Liaise with Digital agency for ongoing activities like SM Posts, Campaign posts and
creatives development.
o Maintain Job Status Report (JSR)
• Consumers’ connect
o Conduct telephonic survey/ home visit of consumers.
▪ Gather data and report on Key triggers & Purchase drivers.
▪ Feedback on product and service

• Sales Team connect
o Regular visit to markets – meeting trade partners, consumers and sales team to have an
understanding of market trends and needs.
• Coordination with Development Team.
o Interface with R&D, QA and Manufacturing teams
• Product Launch – “Go to Market” Planning.
o Assist the category head in preparation of launch plan, logistics and post launch review
activities.
• Training.
o Prepare training presentations for Promoters and Sales team.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills & Negotiation Skills.
- Good Presentation Skills and proficient in MS Office
Qualifications:
- Post graduation in management.
- Candidate should have 01 -02 years of work experience.
