Metallurgist provides on-going metallurgical analyses and physical test results for production process control, product quality assurance, and provides product and material analyses.

Analyze casting defects to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence
Reviews customer specifications and develops manufacturing methods

Applies statistical methods to solve problems and design experiments
Prepare technical documentation and provide support for new program, EC, part launches and process changes at Drive Automotive including PPAP, ISIR Control Plan, FMEA, E/C as it relates to supplier quality

Provide direction to Drivetrain Design Engineers on relative to appropriate and optimal Materials & Processes selection
Identify needs not addressed by current material solutions and lead development of new materials technologies for Drivetrain Engineering
Support failure investigations
Support materials development, processes, and applications
