Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced QA Lead who can provide leadership and guidance to our QA team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on QA expertise and the ability to take initiative and develop and evolve our QA practices. The right candidate will be able to analyze the systems to determine what to test, the priority of those tests, and the best way to test and will be able to implement processes and procedures to improve the quality of our products.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance best practices for the team
  • Train and mentor team members on QA processes and procedures
  • Work closely with business analysts to validate business requirements 
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently: provide work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports on a regular basis
  • Develop a definition of project scope, goals and deliverables as per client's need
  • Mentor project team members on best practices, including product delivery and IT framework. Directs and assigns work activities and priorities
  • Manage the scope change process: identifies and anticipates risks and issues, facilitates resolution, mitigation, and appropriate escalation
  • Manage the project delivery process to ensure a successful implementation including on time, on budget and to a high level of client satisfaction
  • Closely monitor the matrix required to assess the quality of the project and publish project quality performance report regularly
  • Participate in product release planning and ensure that quality standards are met
  • Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes and procedures
  • Find and implement the right tools which are required for the project

What you’ll bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in the software quality field including prior hands-on experience
  • At least 2 years of experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Familiarity with the entire software development life cycle and test cycles (Unit, Regression, Functional, Systems, Stress & Scale, Smoke & Sanity)
  • Understanding of microservices and serverless architecture and deployment
  • Understanding of existing QA best practices and methodologies to design, implement and automate processes
  • Detailed and effective written communication skills for documenting the features tested and bugs found
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, extremely responsive and able to prioritize a large number of tasks
  • Self-motivated, work well independently and with others
