Job Description:

 Assistant Manager Supply Chain – Purchasing
Reports to: Director Supply Chain
FLSA: Exempt
Supervises: N/A
Summary: Responsible for purchasing/distribution of various food and non-food items (packaging) for all
Boston Market restaurants
Essential Functions
? Works with multiple suppliers to buy the best quality and cost optimized products.
? Procures both proprietary and non-proprietary items.
? Cross trains with Manager, Supply Chain Proteins to provide support as needed.
? Manages relationships with suppliers, distributors and all external parties that supply products or
services to the Boston Market system.
? Determines price and volume requirement to include historical and seasonal forecasting on supplies.
? Negotiates both formula and fixed pricing agreements with suppliers.
? Develops approved sources of supply for new and current products that mitigate risk of supply.
? Manages new product introductions and phase out of any replacement product through distribution
network.
? Ensures ongoing, continuous uninterrupted product supply to distribution centers and restaurants.
? Identifies cost optimizing projects and drives plan to exceed defined goals.
? Interacts with Research & Development, Quality Assurance, Op’s support services, Marketing, Finance,
and restaurants.
? Maintains contracts, agreements and all supplier related RFP results and approvals of suppliers and
products in internal electronic Armada system, hard copy in files within supply chain department and
insures legal has approved all contracts and only authorized Boston Market management has signed
contracts and or agreements related to suppliers.
? Works independently with minimal supervision. Drives projects and maintains sense of urgency on
identified projects, goals and any potential risk to supply.
? Tracks, prioritizes, and finishes duties and projects as required and assigned in an efficient and timely
manner with minimal supervision.
? Returns all emails and voice mails within 24 hours or more immediate as required.
? Deals with interruptions and successfully manages multiple projects and task consistently.
? Maintains behaviors and actions consistent with the company’s values and standards.
? Consistently adheres to all policies and procedures.
? Continuously looks for ways to increase professional development.
? Works additional hours as needed and responds to issues or risk of supply with high level of urgency.
? Regular and punctual attendance which includes working normal business hours that support the
restaurant’s needs.
? Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
? The ideal candidate resides in Colorado; hybrid position in office/work from home.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. MST to
5:00 p.m. MST with lunch break during normal business hours approximately 12:00 p.m. MST.
Required Education and Experience
? Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
? 5 years of experience in MS Office suite.
? 5 years of experience with supply chain within restaurant industry.
Preferred Education and Experience
? Master’s Degree in Business.
? 10 years of supply chain experience in a food service environment.
? MS Access experience.
