Mechanical Testing Engineer - Navi Mumbai(Mahape)

Job Description:

We have an urgent opening for the position of Mechanical Testing Engineer for a reputed manufacturing Industry for their Navi Mumbai location.

Basic Job Description:

• Responsible to carry out day-to-day testing as per documented procedure and instruction of the Technical Manager
• Responsible for allocating the job to juniors/technicians and evaluating the results generated by them
• Identifying the witness requirement and organizing call letters for the witnessing agencies.
• Offer third-party samples during their visits and get the witness's signature.
• Making final report and sending it for report compiling.
• Verifying daily reports, raw data register with the memo and sending the information to the report compiler.
• Maintain all raw data registers, logbooks, etc.
• Always be alert to identify any non-conforming work and stop the same if any is identified and inform the Technical manager.
• Take due corrective actions for any non-conformity identified.
• Organize periodic calibration of various equipment before the due date and update the calibration program and equipment list.
• Carry out routine Maintenance as per the plan and inform the Manager of breakdown maintenance/repairs.
• To ensure received samples from the entry or machine shop are checked for conformance to the requirement of the test method

Education level and prior experience: Graduate engineer in mechanical or metallurgy with a minimum of 2 years experience or Diploma in Mechanical or metallurgy with a minimum of 3 years experience Or Science Graduate with a minimum of 3 years experience in the metallurgical laboratory

Specific Skills:

• Ability to perform tests independently and suitably as per the requirements of test method and scope
• Should be able to interpret results as per requirement
