Job Description:

Overall Job Purpose
The Production Superintendent is responsible for the safe and cost effective operation of the FPSO production systems with minimal environmental impact in accordance with legislation, class, flag and the Integrated Management Systems.

Core Responsibilities
Contribute with the execution of the Strategic and Performance Management through the consolidation and monitoring of the KPIs/results and planning/execution of the results monitoring meetings (Strategic, Support Departments and Operational Units).
Promote safety and application of MoMEX management system through the dissemination of safety culture and compliance with current procedures and policies.
Manage the Permit-to-work system and office to ensure its continuous work during unit’s operation.
Coordinate the planning and execution of offshore activities and operations along with other departments, onshore support and clients in order to guarantee the optimization of results and use of resources.
Ensure that the production systems of the platform are operated according to the project and its operating philosophy through personnel training, monitoring and control of processes.
Ensure that technical queries are properly identified, recorded and always directed to engineering for review / study.
Contribute to the development of engineering reviews / studies regarding installed production systems through participation in technical meetings with engineering and suppliers, planning and execution of operational tests in the platform.
Contribute to the management of changes through the revision and approval of the proposals originated regarding the production systems of the platform.
Participate in audits and inspections in the platform in order to contribute through the demonstration of the items required by auditors / inspectors and also in the resolution of any nonconformities found.
Leading and / or participating in incident / accident investigations by collecting facts, evidence, generating reports and determining preventive and corrective actions.
Keep the Offshore installation manager (OIM) informed of production and safety / emergency systems by providing accurate and relevant information immediately.
Assume responsibilities as designated by in the emergency response plan.
Assume the responsibilities of the offshore installation manager (OIM) whenever designated by the operations manager, and / or the OIM is incapacitated, by complying with all training, procedures and responsibilities relevant to the function.
Contribute to the emergency response, and manage it whenever necessary, in accordance with procedures and in order to minimize impacts to people, the environment, assets and the company's reputation.
Contribute effectively to the preparation and execution of simulated emergency drills through participation, demonstration of knowledge of the techniques used and training of emergency response teams.
Review and authorize production department purchase orders
Contribute to the planning, monitoring and control of the budget of the unit through the accomplishment of the tasks assigned by the operations manager.
Ensure compliance with the service and charter contract regarding the activities of the production department and assist other departments whenever necessary and possible.
Control the use of inhibitions in the production and safety / emergency systems of the platform by complying with the current procedures.
Ensure the development of competencies by departmental staff according to the individual plans developed through the competency management system.
Ensure annual departmental performance evaluations of the department personnel are made in accordance with the proposed schedule and company procedures expressing the actual situation of each supervised employee.
When requested, following an operational necessity, act temporarily as an OIM, since already have all the required trainings to perform the position.

HSEQ: Complies with the MODEC HSEQ Code of Conduct as described in the HSEQ Policies, the 14 HSEQ Standards, and the HSEQ Procedures to protect people and the environment at all times. Has a duty of care to ensure that all personnel work in a manner that is not harmful to their own health and safety and the health and safety of others. Ensure that discharges and emissions resulting from the process Facility are within the limits stipulated by the applicable laws and regulations functioning and that this data is reported in the correct manner
Compliance: Complies with the MODEC Group Policy Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and expected training at all times.
Financial and Operational Dimensions / Impact and Decision-making Authority
Ensure that FPSO production equipment is operated within the established limits, and take actions to ensure that the limits are respected. If safe operating limits look as though they would be exceeded, escalate and explain the situation, impacts and possible mitigations to the OIM.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Relevant Experience:
Mandatory:
5 years as a Production Superintendent on an FPSO or offshore location. Alternatively, 5 years of supervisory experience in an onshore management role for an FPSO operator may be considered
10 years total in a production/processing industry
Preferred (in addition to above)
Experience with Safety Management Systems and working under Safety Case regimes
Experience with Permit-to-work supervision, isolations system and risk assessments.
High School or GED
Post-secondary qualification in Hydrocarbon Production Processing or a related field
Software:
Intermediate Level: Office package (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project
CMMS (SAP, AMOS, Maximo etc)
