We are looking for a Node.js Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between
the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition
and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to
requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built
by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is
necessary as well.

Node JS Developer Responsibilities
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic
• Developing high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient code
• Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
• Implementing effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions.
• Integration of data storage solutions include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.
• Developing and maintaining all server-side network components.
• Ensuring optimal performance of the central database and responsiveness to front-end
requests.
• Designing customer-facing UI and back-end services for various business processes.
• Running diagnostic tests, repairing defects, and providing technical support.
• Documenting Node.js processes, including database schemas, as well as preparing reports.
• Recommending and implementing improvements to processes and technologies.
• Keeping informed of advancements in the field of Node.js development.
• Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
• Interact with clients via slack, zoom and email

Node JS Developer Skills Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
• 2+ years of professional experience working with Node JS developer.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on expertise in REST, MySQL/PostgreSQL, WebSocket, MongoDB, Redis, etc.
• Familiarity with Docker and AWS infrastructure
• Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems.
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript, CoffeeScript, IcedCoffeeScript, web stacks, libraries etc.
• Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks such as Express, StrongLoop, etc
• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
• Good understanding of server-side templating languages such as Jade, EJS, etc

• Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors such as Stylus, Less, etc
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3
• Understanding accessibility and security compliance
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop,
and optimizing output to match the specific platform
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Superb interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
