Job Description:

 

Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline with minimum 3
years’ experience in Construction
or

Diploma in relevant Engineering Discipline with minimum
6 years’ experience in Construction.

Job Description

  • Assume responsibility for conceptual and detailed design in compliance with the project specifications, international codes and standards and good engineering practices. Take measures for maintaining quality of engineering, completion of projects within the budgeted man hours and cost and adhering to the project schedule
  • Plan and allocate manpower resources for executing the different projects, proposals and other activities of the Discipline
  • Provide technical expertise during various phases of project execution and proposal engineering
  • Facilitate the manpower recruitment process in co-ordination with HR
  • Plays the leading role in technological and design improvement for the department in consultation with technical specialists in the group
  • Identify the software requirements for the projects & liaison with IT to arrange them
  • Arrange internal audits for monitoring quality of Discipline documents and deliverable
  • Review and approve man hours, cost and BOQ estimates of proposals
  • Evaluate project schedules in liaison with the lead engineer
  • Conduct internal staff meetings to ensure the progress of projects in accordance to quality requirements, schedule, allotted man hours and budgeted costs
  • Ensure compliance with Company quality procedures and facilitate Company's internal and external quality audits in co-ordination with the QA/QC Department
  • Interact with the Engineering Director and other Discipline Managers on a regular basis in order to ensure smooth functioning of the Engineering Department
  • Interface with other Departments (e.g. Project Management, Project Planning & Control, Procurement, QA/QC, Construction and Commissioning) as required for the proper execution of the projects.
  • Establish performance criteria and direct employee performance appraisals. Advise recommendations/directions to HR on employee salary matters
  • Identify employee strengths and weaknesses and provide feedback as necessary
  • Identify and initiate training and development activities
  • Attend to employee problems related to work environment, compensation, general welfare, etc.
  • Perform related duties as and when directed by Engineering Director
Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :
  • Vast experience with extensive experience in engineering consultancy or EPC company in Oil & Gas and petrochemical industries.
  • Excellent coordination, monitoring, planning, supervisory and guidance skills
  • Excellent Communication skills, tactful in resolving issues
  • Ability to form and lead teams and develop good rapport with the individuals
  • Ability to meet schedules and deadlines
  • Cost consciousness and time management
  • Decision making abilities
  • Thorough Knowledge in all aspects of Process Design work
  • Familiar with major technologies and Licensed processes
  • Up to date with major developments in the market
  • Manpower planning and allocation skills
  • Able to conduct Design and Technical integrity reviews
  • Good Computer Skills (MS office tools including PowerPoint presentations)
  • Technical report writing skills
