ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENT - ENGINEER

Job Description:

Checks power transformers, switchboard, accumulator battery, sockets outlet, lighting system. Performs visual inspections, dimensional test, checks rating and material for connection. Performs tests of continuity, insulation resistance. Calibrates safety valvesDesign & detailed engineering of electrical and instrumentation work scope for marine based natural gas systems and other offshore/onshore LNG solutions, such as the generation of  instrument lists, block diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable lists, etc.

• Prepare specifications and datasheets in accordance with project requirements to ensure technical and regulatory compliances are met.
• Coordinate with electrical and instrumentation equipment vendors, to ensure compliance with project specifications. Selection of electrical equipment types, cable sizes and protection type and review drawings, calculations, design reports, etc. by vendors
• Review technical quotes, recommend the selection of suitable electrical equipment and instrumentation, cables and other system components based on process/project requirements to assist procurement/commercial team
• Take part in inter-discipline coordination work between engineers from other disciplines to ensure quality and interfacing of electrical part in larger package supplies
• Conduct inspection for panels, instruments and electrical equipment, cabling system installations on skids, interface connections, witness FAT/SAT, supervise installation and power turn-on at site
• Ensure that all standard operating procedures comply with specifications, quality standards, statutory and regulatory requirements.
