Job Description:

The positions report into - Functional Reporting to DGM Finance-HOD (Corporate Office) and Administrative Reporting to Plant Head

The Following positions report into this position All second line team members report directly Skip level reporting for all others

Owning the Cost Leadership role for the plant in order to gain competitive advantage for the business by placing proper financial policies/practices/procedures in consultation with Corporate office.

• Adherence to all applicable Safety Compliances to ensure Zero Harm to Man, Materials and Machines.
• 0 accident policy to be adhered to.
• 100% adherence to company’s policies SOP’s and practices. To be completely aligned with company’s value system, ethics and people practices.
• To perform individually in the capacity of HOD and work cohesively as a team member in ensuring the achievement of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
• Adaptation of new technology/processes for cost optimization department/plant in order to rationalize cost of operation
• Create processes, SOPs, BCP’s to ensure efficiency and efficacy in the department and continuously reduce cost of operation
• Monitoring of Bill Passing activity, ensuring DOA and SOPs compliance and timely Payment to vendors as per PO Terms
• Lead the cost control initiative for the plant and ensure optimization of expenses.
• Fund Planning and Cash management
• Review and approval of all purchases, AMC and CAPEX/Opex proposals.
• Co-ordinate with all other departments & Head office for day to day activities and ensure submission of required details to HO as per schedule.
• Dealing with all vendors for reconciliation of financial transaction.
• Ensure & Review all the statutory compliances under various acts like GST, Income Tax, Central Sales Tax etc.
• Liaison with Bankers, Internal & External auditors, Tax authorities on various issues.
• Review of Advances, Creditors ageing and GR/IR Ledgers on monthly basis.
• Decide the action plan to sort out pending taxation issues.
• Review and Finalize Monthly, Quarterly & Annual Books of Accounts and Preparation of Financials, Schedules and Submission to HO as per schedule.
• Review & Preparation of Tax audit details and Coordination with Tax auditors.
• Preparation of Estimated Cash Flow and comparison of actuals with estimates on weekly basis
• Review and maintenance of Bank Guarantees and Insurance policies
• Ensuring Physical Verification of all materials/stores/fuel etc. and booking of deficiencies if any with proper reasoning.
• Review the inventory levels and advances and taking steps to keep them withinbudget levels. Review the Variances of Annual budget with actual execution on monthly basis and take up with relevant department to minimize the adverse variances.
• Co-ordinate & Finalize Power trading decision as and when required.
• Preparation of MIS Reports for Management
• Co-ordination with site accountants for day to day operations
• Supervision of daily bank reconciliation, fund appropriation
• Manpower planning, manpower training and attrition control within team to be done.
• Knowledge in SAP (FI) under SAP Module
• Developing 2nd Line Leadership and Succession Planning
• Implementing 5S systems in department and CFT.
