Job Summary:
Candidate would be a Sr. SDET / Quality Engineer for NextGen’s interoperability product Health Data Hub(HDH) in the Health Information Exchange (HIE) domain. The solution is a cloud first, API first product set built natively in AWS with the team using Lean Agile(LAJ) principles. This person will help enhance the quality strategy, approach and execution, she would understand the "big picture", work with cross functional teams and use data from customer experience to shape the future.
We are looking for an SDET who is technically sound, can guide the team often and follow described quality strategy. Primary Responsibilities:
- Be an evangelist for Quality and automated testing for both functional and non-functional aspects of the product, right from the refinement phase
- Partner with product development teams to create/assess the testing & automation strategy for features under test; Keep Quality, Patient Safety, and Privacy a top priority.
- Contribute in detailed refinement of requirements and develop effective acceptance, integration and regression tests that fully validates the business requirements and system goals.
- Design and implement Functional/Non-Functional tests as per defined quality strategy with the right infrastructure, tools, and framework. Also enable and encourage team members towards the same.
- Contribute to efforts in developing and maintaining test automation (Functional/Non-Functional) framework, including continuous integration within the build system as per the test strategy
- Able to understand software internals, debug code, automate repetitive tasks efficiently with greater reusability and long-term vision.
- Work closely with engineering managers, product architects, product owners to implement new tools and frameworks needed to streamline the quality process.
- Understand customer usage models and able to develop test plans and test cases that approximate real-world environments and scenarios
- Be an equal partner in Support Cop and Deployment activities
- Be an equal partner in Migration efforts for existing customers from CDR
- Ensure that testing activities comprehensively validate applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues
- Embrace opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Mentor and to lead quality engineers to cross train and improve QA processes / tools
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in software quality engineering
- Minimum5 to 6 years of experience with API integration and end to end testing (team uses Mocha and Chai)
- Minimum 5 to 6 years of experience with UI integration testing (team uses Karma) and UI end to end automation (team uses Cypress)
- Strong experience working with load testing tool (team uses JMeter) for Performance testing.
- Strong knowledge of software testing best practices and methodologies in an Agile methodology using Scrum.
- Experienced with various types of testing to fully test an application to render a quality product.
- Experience with XML and JSON handling through automation
- Strong programming skills with Java Scripts and Node.js
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Must be an effective written and spoken communicator with staff and management.
- Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study: Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar field.
