Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack PHP and Javascript

• Understand the Why for each feature and module.
• Improve the existing codebase by using thoughtful design patterns, good standards, and best practices.
• Improvement in performance of database and application

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain new features for Gridle's Client Life Cycle management tool
• You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying new features and frameworks, focusing on high-performance implementations without neglecting the user experience.
• You'll work in JavaScript on the client, PHP on the server, and a number of languages, frameworks, and tools in between.
• Collaborate with design, product, and customer operations to understand why we build the features we do
• Help the team improve the existing codebase by promoting thoughtful design patterns and testing solutions
• Architect efficient database schemas for new implementations or contribute to improving existing ones.
• Monitor releases and communicates new changes to customers and customer support
• Scale and improve the performance of the application and database
• Working closely with product management, ui/ux managers and VP Tech to define user requirements and translating them into reliable, intuitive features.
• Evangelizing code quality through writing well-architected, structured code, unit tests, while following best industry practices.
• Refactoring, optimizing and constantly driving for improved efficiency and code health.
• Manage the full lifecycle of services - from initial setup and release to day-to-day CI/CD. Should be passionate about building software to streamline and automate service deployment and operation for Developers.
• Managing a team of Back End developers.

Requirement

• 4+ years of web application development experience in SAAS environment
• 2+ years of work experience in Laravel (PHP Framework)
• Experience with PHP development on a variety of frameworks(Laravel) including vanilla PHP
• Experience with JavaScript on the front end using jQuery or React.js
• Experience with HTML and CSS
• Excellent problem-solving skills in sophisticated web and mobile applications as part of a fast-paced team in a World Wide Context.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience with relational databases
• Understanding of MVC and experience working with frameworks.
• Experience using version control systems: Git
• Ability to adapt, estimate workload, solve problems, self-improve and suggest new ways of improvement.
• Reverse engineering skills: the ability to traverse logical sequences of either procedural or object-oriented code, abstracted or static - and understand it entirely.
• Not afraid to roll up your sleeves and have a "Can Do" attitude
• Worked with AWS in the past
