Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer with 6-8 years of relevant industry experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and ensuring the structural integrity and safety of various construction projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Structural Analysis and Design:

   • Perform structural analysis and design calculations using relevant software tools and codes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and project requirements.
   • Develop detailed structural designs for various building components, including foundations, beams, columns, and slabs, considering factors such as loading conditions, material properties, and environmental impacts.
   • Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to develop accurate structural designs and specifications.

2. Project Management:

   • Manage multiple projects concurrently, including coordinating with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met within specified timelines and budget constraints.
   • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess structural conditions, identify potential risks, and provide technical recommendations for remedial actions as necessary.
   • Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including design reports, drawings, and construction specifications.

3. Quality Assurance and Compliance:

   • Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on structural designs and calculations to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
   • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to structural engineering, and integrate this knowledge into project designs and methodologies.
   • Collaborate with regulatory authorities and third-party consultants to obtain necessary approvals and permits for construction projects.

4. Team Collaboration:

   • Collaborate closely with architects, civil engineers, and other members of the project team to integrate structural designs seamlessly with overall project requirements.
   • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and drafters, fostering their professional development and ensuring the quality of deliverables.
   • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and discussions to address technical challenges, brainstorm innovative solutions, and optimize project outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 6-8 years of progressive experience in structural engineering, preferably in the design and analysis of commercial, residential, or industrial buildings.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP2000, or STAAD.Pro.
• Strong knowledge of relevant building codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, IBC).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software (e.g., Revit) is a plus.
