Male Nurse

Job Description:

• To plan for and carry out all procedures of patient care including administration of medication according to standing instructions, assisting Doctors in various medical and surgical diagnostic procedures, performing diagnostic procedures, collecting and sending of specimens to lab, prepares patient for operations.
• Any other task assigned by the Asst.
• To update all the quality assurance practices followed in the ward with regard to NABH and be actively involved in the same.
• To maintain accurate records, reports and ensure that the billing sheet is filled in correctly and patient is charged for all procedure services, medications etc.
• To observe and follow the Standards and Standard Operating Procedures as per NABH and ensure that quality is maintained.
• To assess the needs of the patients in the ward and give direct patient care (bed making, mouth/back care, bed bath, hair wash, changing of position) and allotted care by the Ward InCharge.
• Shall take over the charge from duty nurse of previous shift, regarding patients (bed to bed), instrument supplies, drugs etc.
• To observe the rules and regulations of the Hospital, Hostel and to maintain discipline in the wards.
• To take care of the patient's case sheets and send them to the medical record department after the discharge within 24 hours.
• To preserve dead body in mortuary or hand over the body with respect to concerned family members/ relatives/authorities.
• And handed over the same to the next shift/nurse at the end of shift.
• To fulfill all basic needs (hygiene nutritional needs etc.) and provide comfort and safety to patient.
