Job Description:

 

 

 
The logistics assistant will be responsible for receiving and unpacking parcels, completing relevant documentation,
 
and dispatching stock. You should also record and report breakages, major spills, and contaminations to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Lead the SC function for the company in the India region to ensure the best-in-class provision of logistical services to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Leads the organization's Performance Improvement plan and Operational Efficiency initiatives, ensuring a data-driven and results-oriented approach that supports the successful execution of company strategic objectives.
  • Strategically plan Logistics, warehouse, Picking, packing, transportation, and customer services
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets
  • Organizes inventories to design more efficient space usage and material flow through the manufacturing process
  • Monitor the overall performance of the team to ensure compliance with EH&S and Quality (ISO requirements) and logistics policies and procedures.
  • Lead the hiring, supervise, coach, and train the warehouse workforce
  • Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control
  • Review existing processes across warehouse operations and develop strategies to improve processes and reduce costs. Inspire a culture of continuous improvement across the logistics function.
  • Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Drive Warehouse Automation Projects to improve efficiency
  • Manage logistics services providers to ensure performance in accordance with agreed KPIs.
  • Provide inputs to the budgeting process, and monitor and control costs within budget constraints.
  • Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements
  • Strong business understanding, interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Ability to motivate, maintain and develop an effective team
  • strong experience in Warehouse, Transportation & Distribution operations
  • Strong system proficiency in SAP, WMS, MS Office, etc
  • Warehouse Automation, Layout design, Distribution footprint study, Logistics Cost down projects, Inventory Migration, multi-site operational exposure & implementation experiences are preferred
  • Strong business understanding, interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Strong communication skills are written and verbal
  • Proven administrative, leadership skills and management experience
  • Ability to motivate, maintain and develop an effective team
