PROCUREMENT & LOGISTICS OFFICER --flexible packaging

Job Description:

Product line:              Flexible packaging raw material (MLLDPE, LLDPE, LDPE, HDPE,  EVOH, etc), Paper labels (metallic, wet strength and label paper), BOPP, PVC & PET Shrink, duplex, coverboard, art paper, flexi material, ABS, ACP

In order to achieve success, some of the Key Skills that the Procurement & Logistics Officer  is expected to have include:

Procurement

1. Must have strong negotiating skills
2. Must have strong product knowledge for printing & packaging sector
3. Must be excellent in communications skills (emails, phone calls, whatsapp calls)
4. Strong knowledge of Microsoft word, excel
5. Must be well organized, and be able to multitask
6. Experience in procurement of 400+ SKUs from 50+ suppliers

Logistics

1. Strong knowledge of import/export process
2. Strong numerical/analytical skills
3. Must have strong reporting skills

Linguistic skills:          English: Written (Fluent) Spoken (Fluent)

                                    Hindi: Written (Fluent) Spoken (Fluent) - preferable

Experience:                Minimum 7 years in procurement department for a flexible packaging company (LDPE, HDPE, LLDP, BOPP, etc)

Age:                             Minimum 30 years old

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the requisition are received and all orders against such requisition are placed on time
2. Ensure all the order confirmation from supplier are received, especially for imports.
3. Identify new suppliers for potential clients
4. Be part of Inventory Planning of all the raw materials
5. Monthly declaration of marine insurance and handling insurance claims.
6. Co-ordinating and communicating with user department on status of shipment.
7. Should focus on cost reduction of raw material and should seek better payment terms.
8. Co-ordinate with freight forwarder to ensure timely delivery of goods.
9. Maintain & update supplier information
