Responsible for vendor identification, vendor qualification concerning with Quality department through the internal documentation process
- Responsible for developing new vendor base while maintaining the existing vendors for better analysis in view of price and delivery of the material
- Responsible for negotiations for best possible, prepare rate contracts and develop win-win strategies to achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers
- Responsible for processing and approving the Purchase indents/orders received from cross-functional departments
- Maintain and develop supplier relationships (trade shows, supplier meetings, conferences, etc.)
- Responsible for inbound delivery of the items, materials, components etc.. on time
- Analyze market and delivery mechanism/system in order to assess present and future material availability
- Direct & Coordinate activities of the team engaged in buying materials, equipment, machinery, and materials
- Identify cost improvement areas and suggest the management on cost-effective plans
- Coordination with departments like Excise, Planning, Production, Accounts etc. for smooth functioning
- Implement processes to reduce lead time, Assist in setting frameworks for implementing guidelines on contract development.
