Graphics Designer & Packaging Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Graphics Designer & Packaging Specialist to join our dynamic team in the printing and packaging sector. As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing designs for various packaging materials including duplex boxes, paper labels, and corrugated boxes. In addition to your graphic design skills, you will also play a pivotal role in determining box dimensions and creating detailed box drawings.

Responsibilities:

1. Conceptualize and design creative packaging solutions that align with client requirements and brand aesthetics.
2. Develop innovative graphics for duplex boxes, paper labels, and corrugated boxes that enhance product visibility and appeal.
3. Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to understand project objectives, specifications, and deadlines.
4. Utilize design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign to create high-quality mock-ups and prototypes.
5. Generate detailed box dimensions and technical drawings for production, ensuring accuracy and feasibility.
6. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in packaging design and printing.
7. Provide recommendations for materials, finishes, and printing techniques to optimize packaging quality and cost-effectiveness.
8. Conduct thorough quality checks on final designs and prototypes to ensure they meet client expectations and manufacturing standards.
9. Communicate effectively with suppliers and production teams to facilitate smooth execution of design concepts into finished products.
10. Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and design reviews to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience (3+ years) in graphic design with a focus on packaging design and production.
2. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
3. Strong understanding of packaging materials, printing processes, and manufacturing techniques.
4. Excellent attention to detail and ability to translate conceptual ideas into tangible designs.
5. Knowledge of 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks) is a plus.
6. Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of packaging design projects and technical drawings.
