Job Responsibility :

Monitoring Operational Performance of Two Four Strand Billet Casters with responsibility of Two 110 t AC Electric Arc Furnace Operations - 100% Cold DRI and Scrap Melting. & Secondary Steel Making.
Ensure all production teams have effective resources and are working to the standard processes defined in the company.
Primary responsible for developing and promoting positive labor relations in Union and non-union environments
Produce High Carbon, Rebar, Drawing grades, VHC Grades from Billet Casters
Preparing, planning monthly and daily production targets.
Resource planning for the daily production achievement
Target and initiate action towards less process deviation and minimize rejection.
Planning & implementing the preventive & predictive maintenance schedules for improving the overall reliability and safety of Machines and personnel.
Tracking daily breakdowns, implementing preventive maintenance programs to improve the efficiency of the system or the equipment undergoing maintenance.
Involve in preparation of Opex Budget. Submit Operation Budget and Monitoring cost.
Training and guiding workforce towards identifying factors critical to quality, reducing process variation, improving capabilities & increasing stability.
Finalizing requirements and specifications in consultation with engineering consultants, collaborators, external vendors.
Responsible for production and maintenance of caster. Improvement initiatives for production and reduction of defects. Responsible for safety and environment of the shop.
Preparation of SOPs and Work Instructions for all the sections under Casting Department.
Preparation of Safety Instructions and Dos and Donts for all the activities under Casting Department.
Training of Nigerians for operation of Caster and related equipment.
Completed the mechanical rehabilitation of all the equipment including Mixer, Converters, Argon Rinsing Station and Bloom casters single handedly.
Rehabilitation and testing of Turrets and Withdrawal rolls hydraulically. Gained thorough knowledge of Hydraulics.
Casting experience in value added steel grades like Cotton Steel, Pipe Line Steel, Silicon Steel, Dual Phase Steel, and Medium Carbon Steel.
Well familiar with Auto Mould Level Controller,
Breakout Prediction System, and Liquid core Reduction, Online width correction system, Slab
