Job Description:

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the electrical maintenance and repair activities in the steel plant, including troubleshooting electrical issues and implementing corrective actions.
2. Plan and schedule preventive maintenance tasks for electrical equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
3. Coordinate with the maintenance team to prioritize and address electrical maintenance requests in a timely manner.
4. Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
5. Develop and maintain electrical maintenance procedures and documentation, including work instructions, equipment manuals, and safety protocols.
6. Collaborate with other departments, such as production and engineering, to support plant operations and project activities.
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, regulations, and standards, including NFPA, NEC, and OSHA requirements.
8. Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance staff on electrical systems, equipment, and safety practices.
9. Review and analyze electrical maintenance data, including equipment performance metrics and failure reports, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
10. Participate in the planning and execution of plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and capital projects involving electrical systems and equipment.
11. Manage the inventory of electrical spare parts, tools, and supplies to support maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
12. Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment histories, and maintenance logs.
13. Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce operating costs and improve efficiency.
14. Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in electrical maintenance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
