Qualification: 2year ITI- Fitter + 1-year Apprenticeship in fabrication/machine building Industry
Experience: 3-5 years
Area of exposure/ competency:
- Assembly and fitting of the whole range of products given the relevant specifications and Bill of Materials. Training and guidance will be given as appropriate.
- In Process testing of sub-assemblies.
- Compilation of assembly records. (“As Built” drawing and other recommended changes to design for easier assembly or enhancement of the product).
- Assist in solutions to overcome problems found on assembly.
- Loading and unloading of equipment as required.
- Any factory maintenance as required.
- Occasionally work off-site at client’s premises or other areas designated as assembly points.
- Assist in training of new colleagues.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of assembly tools.
- Ensure proper handling of equipment to minimise damage through assembly process.
- Work extra if necessary to ensure deadlines and schedules are met.
- Leave working areas in fit state to ensure no unnecessary health and safety risks prevail. Work in a manner that ensures the safety of oneself and other colleagues
through complying with the procedures, rules and regulations.
- Any other duties deemed appropriate by senior managers or factory manager or designate.
- Verifies with specifications by measuring completed component.
- Safely using of any hand tools and power tools.
