Job Description:

As an Accountant, your primary role is to manage financial records, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations. You play a key role in supporting the financial health of the organization by maintaining accurate financial records and providing insights into the company's financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Bookkeeping:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
    • Record daily financial transactions, including income and expenses.
  2. Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Generate financial reports for management to aid in decision-making.
  3. Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Monitor budget variances and provide explanations for financial performance.
  4. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

    • Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
    • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable statements.
  5. Tax Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
    • Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax and VAT.
  6. Financial Analysis:

    • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
    • Make recommendations for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
  7. Audit Support:

    • Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
    • Implement audit recommendations to enhance financial controls.
  8. Compliance:

    • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards.
    • Implement and enforce accounting policies and procedures.
  9. Communication:

    • Communicate financial information effectively to internal stakeholders and management.
    • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data.
