Job Description:

The Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fuel Oil Trader to join our vibrant trading team. You will play a key role in optimizing our physical and derivatives positions in the global fuel oil market, generating profitable trading opportunities, and managing risk effectively. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the company's growth and success in a fast-paced, international environment. Responsibilities: Execute physical and derivatives trades in various fuel oil grades (e.g., HSFO, VLSFO, IFO) across major global hubs. Conduct in-depth market analysis, leveraging fundamental and technical data to identify profitable trading opportunities. Monitor physical supply chains and shipping dynamics to assess potential disruptions and price volatility. Develop and implement robust trading strategies, considering risk management frameworks and company financial objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with key counterparties, including refineries, storage providers, and trading partners. Negotiate and finalize contracts, ensuring favourable terms and timely execution. Provide market insights and recommendations to internal teams, including risk management, finance, and operations. Manage and optimize physical fuel oil storage positions across various locations. Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and geopolitical developments impacting the fuel oil industry. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, energy, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in physical and/or derivatives trading of fuel oil or other energy commodities. Strong understanding of global fuel oil markets, pricing mechanisms, and trade flows. Proven track record of profitability and risk management in a trading environment. Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and make decisive decisions under pressure. Fluency in English and additional language(s) a plus.
