Job Description:

JOB TITLE: Buying Assistant


we are now looking for an enthusiastic, creative and confident individual and a proactive
approach to work who will be responsible for the procurement of materials and increase

Key responsibilities for this role:

  • Liaising and negotiating with over 80 suppliers from the UK improving margin and getting
  • the best price possible. This will involve calling and hard negotiating .
  • Reviewing margins for over 600 lines and addressing issues.
  • Looking for new products and suppliers
  • Managing product and supplier issues – liaising with the sales team to ensure this
  • Dealing with price increases, negotiating with suppliers
  • reviewing company sell prices weekly and adjusting ours on our ERP SYSTEM
  • Reviewing competitors’ prices to ensure we are competitive and at the required margins
  • Conducting marketing campaigns with suppliers
  • Checking daily sales margin for below and low costs
  • Reviewing customer agreements tables
  • Setting sell prices on systems and updating customer agreement on erp system
  • Chasing open purchase order and late deliveries
