Routing/Switching/Security Test Engineer

Job Description:

Desired Skills & Experience:
Skill Requirements: Experience in L2 Switching, STP, VLANs, TCP/IP, Routing Protocols (BGP, ISIS, OSPF), CoS, QoS, Multicast, IPV6, FW/NAT, IPSec VPN, ALG, GTP, IPS, Application Protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, DNS, SMTP, etc….) , Linux, Perl/TCL/C. Experience using 3rd party test equipment such as Agilent Router Testers, Spirent Smart Bits, IXIA is a plus. For leads, experience leading QA projects is a plus.
Core Security Skill Requirements:
Demonstrate proficiency in networking protocols (L2/L3 Protocols,), their configuration, and deployment.
Demonstrate proficiency in networking security (Firewall, NAT, ALG, IPSEC VPN, AAA, Networking attacks), High-Availability (HA)
Expertise in VOIP protocols ( SIP, MGCP, SCCP, H.323)
Proficiency in one or more scripting languages preferably Perl
Experience in testing routers in network, setting up test topologies to verify protocol implementation
Experience in testing tools like IXIA, IX-VPN, Agilent Router testers.
Must possess outstanding problem solving skills in the diagnosis and resolution of customer issues.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Should have very good understanding on testing methodologies.
Excellent and in-depth understanding of the TCP/IP and L2 & L3 protocols -
VPN: L2 VPNs, L3 VPNs (BGP, MPLS), VPLS, CoS Services on VPNs, Pseudowires, BFD Support,
Chained composite next hops MPLS – LDP, RSVP-TE, FRR, DiffServ-TE.
Routing: IPv4/IPv6, ISIS, OSPF (v2/v3), iBGP, RR, addr families, Labeled BGP
Load balancing: balanced/unbalanced, Mac accounting, LACP, AE Link Protection
Multicast Routing: PIM ASM, SSM, MSDP SA transit functionality, ISIS and OSPF multi-topology
extensions for multicast
Multicast replication using Modified Binary Tree (MBT)
OAM, CoS/QoS and Firewall Filters
High Availability: GRES, NSR, ISSU,
Network Management: SNMP v2 and v3 MIBs, Traps, XML APIs
Mastery of commercial networking test equipment like Agilent N2X / IXIA / Spirent.
Demonstrate proficiency in a programming language preferably Perl or Shell scripts,TCL/TK.
