Job Description:
Role Requirements:
- Under supervision, assist in writing and distributing pitch letters, news releases, backgrounders, fact sheets, bios, newsletters and other communications materials
- Develop media pitches and work with targeted media on story development
- Drafting of monthly and activity reports for review by supervisor for internal and client distribution
- Proactively develop relationships with journalists, bloggers and other influencers to convey the client’s message
- Create and maintain media lists
- Monitor media and draft media monitoring reports
- Handle routine media inquiries
- Prepare press kits and other materials
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in social media
- Attend client meetings and maintain regular client contact, including the preparation of contact reports
- Significantly assist in research when developing new business
- Take an active interest in the clients’ business and identify opportunities for PR activities, including opportunities with social media
Language Requirements
- Strong English writing and speaking skills
Qualifications required
- University degree in Communications or related discipline
- 1-3 years of experience into the same field is a must
