Position: Finance Director

Experience: 8+ years

Notice: Immediate to 90 days

Location: Ghana (West Africa) (Onsite)

KEY DELIVERABLES FOR THIS POSITION

 As Associate financial controller, you will have the below as your major objectives:

1. Maintaining complete record of all project transactions
2. Configuration of all business transactions of various projects including tender transactions in
SAP ensures reporting is as per IFRS
3. Ensuring that company, financial statements are in line with management’s requirements
4. Providing timely and accurate financial information for ongoing projects/Tenders
5. Liaising with the Business head and the operation team to have full visibility on ongoing
contracts/Projects
6. Clear schedules for all Key Financial items
7. Meeting group reporting and audit timeline
8. Contributing to keep the accounting and financial processes of our businesses up to
standard and ensure accurate financial reporting and control
9. Identifying and preventing discrepancies and helping set up control systems
10. Supervising subordinate personnel in the finance team
11. Closely liaise with management and treasury manager for all bank/cash transactions
12. Maintaining a minimum exposure on currency and stock within approved limits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Oversees, monitors and works to improve accounting procedures, internal controls and database management;
•  Audits work flow to ensure that all accounting transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with industry standards;
• Reviews and justifies expense reports and other expenditures;
• Supervises the preparation of monthly journal entries;
• Prepares financial statements for Projects/Tender transactions in all respective companies;
•  Prepare Project status report for management reviews and highlight opportunity and risks
•  Managing weekly and monthly review calls
•  Helps maintain accountability of the financial resources of a company;
• Handles personally or supervises general ledger reconciliations;
• Full reconciliation of SAP to COGNOS with clear schedules;
•  Ensures compliance with all internal controls;
•  Trains staff on proper company procedures;
•  Assists Finance Director with a variety of tasks as needed;
•  Reviews monthly closing processes to prevent errors;
• Handles special projects as requested by management;
•  Helps with the preparation of the yearly audit;
• Assists in safeguarding the assets of investors;
• Stays current on changes in regulations and other industry news;
•  Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data;
•  Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
