IAM Business Analyst
Job Description:
Job Summary
The IAM Business Analyst is responsible for managing work intake – capturing requirements for new work, tracking work in progress, partnering with engineering/development and architecture resources when required and completing configuration in the Quest One Identity Manager tool to onboard applications. The IAM BA will also support the team in a data analyst role, collecting data from various sources to find the answers to questions, monitor system/user health through dashboards and provide ad-hoc reporting to end users.
Principal Accountabilities
- Application Onboarding:
o work intake, requirements gathering, initiative scoping, tracking.
o Configuration of applications into the IAM service catalog for request, configuring the application in Okta SSO when applicable
- Data Analysis: provide team analysis of varying data sets to support or change working assumptions or to generate ad-hoc reports for end users and auditors
- Status reports: provide regular summary of accomplishments and work outstanding
Technical Skills
- String Data Analysis/visualization skills – significant experience using Excel and a visualization tool such as Tableau or PowerBI
- Familiarity with diagraming techniques to outline business processes (e.g. UML, Swim Lane, Sequence Diagram)
Soft Skills
- Ability to interact with a wide variety of business users, both technical and non-technical, to build and maintain relationships.
- Ability to translate discussions with business stakeholders into clearly documented requirements
- Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree minimum
- Experience working as a Business Analyst within a regulated environment (2+ years)
- Experience working as a Business Analyst (5+ years)
- Experience working with an Identity and Access Management (IAM) tool (3+ years). Dell/Quest One Identity Manager preferred
- Experience configuring applications for request in an IAM tool (2+ years). Dell/Quest One Identity Manager preferred.
- Experience with Single Sign-On, configuring applications for SSO (1+ year). Commercial product such as Okta or Ping preferred
- Experience using a data analysis tool such as Excel or R (3+ years) and visualization tool such as Tableau or Power BI (1+ year)
- Ability to extract data from a SQL or LDAP store with limited assistance
- Experience working with a Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) framework, describing documentation requirements and gates through the development process
