Sr. Executive Import
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare import plan in consultation with the Operations Manager, MD so as to ensure cost effective delivery schedule.
- Identify suppliers and execute sampling to shipment process for delivery to domestic/ export market.
- Manage and develop relationship with suppliers so as to obtain preferential pricing and supply preference leading to effective margin in sales.
- Process and execute import related documentation and including co-ordination with various external agencies.
- Evaluation of duties, taxes, freight charges and associated cost of imports and provide inputs to other functions for factoring in overall cost.
- Coordination with banks for issuance of credit instruments and documentation processing related to imports.
- Coordination with insurance companies for coverage of marine shipments and local dispatches.
- Interface with other departments to resolve issues related to supplies, reconciliation, etc.
