Job Summary

Develops SQL databases and writes applications to interface with SQL databases, as well as writing and testing code. Development consists of designing tables, storing procedures, views and functions.

Experience and Education:

• Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience required. Experience in insurance or financial services industry a plus.

College degree required in computer science, information systems or related field

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL packages.
• Manage monthly data loads received from various third parties.
• Create ad hoc reports for various business units.
• Facilitate the process of onboarding a new third-party interface and debugging the data.

Learn and maintain the existing ETL interface.

• Proven ability to provide excellent customer service.

• Quick learner, driven to ask questions and to learn holistic understanding of processes, systems and the business.
• Ability to work with SSIS packages, creating jobs and linked servers for MS SQL Server.
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence in MS SQL Server Integration Services, MS SQL Server Reporting Services, and MS SQL Server Analysis Services.
• Knowledge of MS SQL Server Developer 2012/2008 R2/2008/2005/2000
• Knowledge of Data warehouse development; Logical and Physical Database design & development.
• Proficiency in Developing SSIS Packages to Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) data into the Data warehouse from Heterogeneous databases such as MSSQL, Oracle, DB2, Sybase and MS Access.
• Skilled in Creating, Configuring and Fine-tuning MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Skilled in Creating and Deploying SSRS Reports on the portal for user accessibility.
• Good communication, organization and time-management skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to function in a collaborative team environment.
• Perseverance and self-discipline.  Ability to see things through to the end.
• Working understanding of SQL databases and Transact query language.

Working understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) involving Systems Analysis, Design, Development and Implementation.
