Job Description:

Drive sales to achieve revenue objectives for the company. Build and maintain a high
performance sales organization to effectively achieve business objectives. Manage sales across
channels viz. Modern Trade (MT), Institutions and Corporate

 

Detailed Role and Responsibilities
Planning
o Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve Company’s objectives for products
and services
o Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts in sync with the overall sales plan (by
product/region/channel) of the company
o Provide sales management, compensation programs and incentive planning
New Business
o Identify new channels for sales expansion
o Expand distribution of products & services by acquiring new clients, maintain & grow
existing clients
o Represent the Company at tradeshows, events, exhibitions etc. to promote Company’s
products and generate leads in newer markets
Business Management
o Review the sales performance regularly and takes proactive steps to ensure target
achievement
o Analyse and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements. Keep sales costs,
T&E expenses under budget levels
o Regularly conduct product development meetings and provide recommendations based on
market data and production capabilities
o Develop and maintain communication in a cooperative and professional manner with all
levels of staff and customers
o Compile and analyse competitive sales information and recommends actions pertaining to
new product development, product improvement, marketing, pricing, and distribution
Coordination

Maintain cordial relationships with existing clientele (GT, MT, Institutional and Corporate)
and develop relations with potential customers
o Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments (Finance, Product
Development, Production) to address key business issues and opportunities

Industry Know-how
o Keep a strong track of marketing intelligence, competitors activities, changing market trends
& demands, new product development/requirement, etc., and communicate them to relevant
people in the organization from time to time
SOP & Policies
o Oversee the development of SOPs and maintenance of existing SOPs for different processes
o Oversee parameters and formats for the Sales department
Management Reporting
o Update the management on the Target vs. Actual Sales, Profits as and when required
o Oversee the maintenance of various report and all project related documents
