Job Description:

POSITION: Manager/Deputy Manager – Distributor Operations 

Reports to (Position): VP – Operations

Position Purpose: To support the Brokerage/Distributor operations services activity of the India Mutual Fund business.

Principal Accountabilities: Executing the Distributor operations activities for the Mutual Fund Knowledge of SEBI/AMFI regulations/guidelines

  • Ensure proper implementation of the brokerage structure in line with the regulations
  • Ensure brokerage structures are provided to RTA on time for facilitating computation
  • Obtain necessary documents from distributors to facilitate for timely payment of brokerage
  • Validating commissions as computed by RTA, coordinating to ensure timely and accurate payment of commissions, maintaining records of commission payments
  • Evaluate opportunities to automate manual processes.
  • Resolution of Distributor queries / Grievances.
  • Servicing internal stakeholders by providing them with relevant distributor related data.
  • Preparing Brokerage MIS for senior management review
  • SEBI and other Regulatory reports preparation and submission

Operations Support

  • Knowledge of SEBI/AMFI Mutual Fund Regulations/guidelines
  • Coordinating with auditors during audits and responding to audit observations by carrying out necessary change in processes

Knowledge, Skills and Expertise

  • Minimum 2/3 years’ experience in distributor operations for a Mutual Fund / AMC
  • Understanding of SEBI Regulations and AMFI guidelines
  • Familiarity with technology, operating platforms, and software used in asset management industry
  • Effective knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong on analytics and problem-solving skills.
  • Aptitude for building positive relationships

Certifications

NISM Series V - Mutual Funds Distributor Module certified
