Position: General Manager - Account

Job Description:

As the General Manager - Account, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the financial activities of the organization. With your extensive experience spanning 10 to 15 years in the field, you will be responsible for leading the accounting department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to the executive team. Your leadership and expertise will contribute to the financial health and success of the company.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the accounting department, including supervision of accounting staff, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  2. Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.
  3. Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
  4. Coordinate and manage the external audit process, liaising with auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  5. Evaluate and optimize financial processes and systems to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  6. Provide strategic financial guidance and recommendations to the executive team, supporting decision-making processes to drive business growth and profitability.
  7. Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial risk management, implementing strategies to mitigate risks and optimize financial resources.
  8. Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, sales, and human resources, to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
  9. Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations, tax laws, and industry best practices, ensuring compliance and adapting financial strategies accordingly.
  10. Lead special projects and initiatives related to financial planning, analysis, and business development as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  2. Proven experience as a senior-level financial manager or controller, with 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles.
  3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, motivate, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
  4. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  5. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic insights.
  6. Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  7. Experience managing audits, tax compliance, and financial risk management.
  8. Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.
  9. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present financial information to senior management.
  10. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
