Job Description:

  Responsibilities:

  1. Teaching: Delivering high-quality instruction in various areas of law at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. Developing and implementing innovative teaching methods to engage students effectively.
  2. Research: Conducting scholarly research in their respective areas of expertise, publishing in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and actively participating in academic conferences and seminars.
  3. Mentorship: Providing guidance and mentorship to students, including advising on academic and career-related matters, supervising research projects, and serving on thesis or dissertation committees.
  4. Service: Contributing to the academic and administrative life of the department and the institution through participation in faculty meetings, committee work, and other service activities.
  5. Collaboration: Engaging with the broader legal community through professional organizations, outreach programs, and collaborative initiatives.
  6. Continuous Professional Development: Engaging in ongoing professional development activities to stay abreast of developments in the field of law, including attending workshops, training sessions, and continuing education programs.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: PhD in Law with LLM (Master of Laws) 
  2. Teaching Experience: Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the university level, with a commitment to student success and engagement.
  3. Research Excellence: Strong research record demonstrated by publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at conferences. Experience in securing external research funding is desirable.
  4. Leadership and Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and external stakeholders. Leadership experience in academic, research, or professional settings is an asset.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
  6. Commitment to Diversity: Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic environment that values equity, respect, and collaboration
