Job Description:

We are looking for Head of Legal who will play a leading position in the business by
providing leadership to the legal department and legal leadership across the business.
He will be required to provide proactive, in-depth, legal, business-focused advice to the
business, as well as implement initiatives and processes in order to set standards and
reinforce a culture of integrity, quality, ethical behavior and responsibility across the
vertical.

Key Responsibilities:
 The Head of Legal is responsible for leading his team in all legal company issues. He is
responsible for the implementation of major legal procedures related to legal drafting,
negotiations, and commercial settlement agreements.
 The Head of Legal is responsible for the administration of the company's resources and
budget allocation for legal activities. Along with other departmental executives, the Head
of Legal contributes to the business's strategy and decision-making processes. He is also
responsible for ensuring that all claims of legal misconduct is disclosed to the leadership
team in a timely way in order to protect corporate integrity.
 By being in charge of advising the company's top leadership on all legal issues pertaining to
each department's specific transactions, the Head of Legal also controls legal risk inside the
organisation. Senior leadership throughout the company receives strategic and operational
counsel from the head of legal, which helps them handle litigation concerns including
product liability and contract disputes.
 In this role, the Head of Legal is also responsible for examining and advising the company
on matters pertaining to applicable contracts that are necessary for the company to
operate. Additionally, he provides guidance and support to outside legal partners as needed
in identifying possible legal risks and evaluating the factors influencing legal risk, ensuring
that all of the company's risk management strategies are viable.
 The Head of Legal has a collaborative role as well. In this role, he works with key
stakeholders and departmental leadership to oversee and ensure legal compliance
throughout the business, protecting the company's reputation both internally and outside.
In order to identify and manage possible legal risk, the Head of Legal will also collaborate
with departmental leadership throughout the whole organization.

In this partnership, he also makes sure that effective mechanisms are in place for ensuring
that high-impact policies—like those against corruption and financial transaction
compliance—are followed.
 The Head of Legal ensures that there is free circulation of information on relevant laws and
policies across the business. He oversees the delivery of training to management and
personnel on legal issues affecting individual departmental activities and transactions.
 The Head of Legal also performs similar duties as he deems fit for the proper execution of
his duties and duties as delegated by the Director or the Senior Management.

Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :

A strong educational background, including a bachelor's degree in law or a related field
acquired from an accredited institution. Additionally, a master’s degree in law or business
administration will be welcomed.
 A candidate for this position must have had at least 10-15 years of working experience
working in a corporate legal capacity within a fast-paced, fast-evolving and dynamic
environment. He must also have successful experience leading negotiations on complex,
high value, contracts, and agreements.

 The candidate must also have a demonstrable track-record producing effective and high-
quality legal advice to departmental heads within a business, leading to enhanced integrity

in both internal and external affairs.
 The Head of Legal has to have an ability to identify and remedy complex legal issues
without inviting the services of external legal advice. He must also have exceptionally good
skills in the legal negotiation such as mergers and acquisitions, tender bidding, and
contract acquisitions. He must also have an ability to draft and manage complex patent,
trademark, and regulatory documentation, handling such matter comfortably within a
fast-paced business environment.
