Senior Engineer(Wintel & SCOM) Gurgaon

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative tasks from the Operation Manager console, provide application support for the SCOM platform and create and maintain monitoring and notification rules.
• Monitor and Maintain Windows Core Services like Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NPS etc.
• Review and update System Center security, apply patches, create SCOM console roles and reviews, and create and install custom Management Packs (MP) as needed.
• Work with Subject Matter Experts to effectively refine alerts.
• Create dashboards as requested.
• Refine and provide continuous improvement to all System Center related processes and procedures.
• Perform global tasks following ITIL processes using top-notch support tools and software like Service Now, Frontrange Enteo Software Deployment, Log-M In Remote Tool, Windows 8.1 / 10, Office 2013 / 2016, S4B, Bit locker, Anti-Virus, FTP, LAN/WAN, VPN, Citrix, Direct Access, Basic Monitoring etc.
• Analyze, troubleshoot and solve client side hardware and software issues.
• Meet quarterly goals and service levels based on incident and request statistics.
• Follow Incident, Request, Problem, Change, Access Management processes based on ITIL and our IT-service management tool.
• Troubleshoot and resolve service outages as they occur and follow up with after action reviews.
• Assures the IT meets the Service Level Agreement and the operation of the IT infrastructure.
• Help to keep IT infrastructure documentation up to date.
• Monitor and measure system performance and resources, and if needed, make certain suggestions for optimal capacity and availability for the business IT infrastructure.
• Understand and operate within company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Related practical experience between 4 - 7 yrs.
• Experience with the installation and administration of System Center 2012 R2 environments in a global team, including System Center Operation Manager, System Center Orchestrator, System Center Configuration Manager and System Center Virtual Machine Manager
• Experience in application/network performance and availability monitoring
• Experience using the Microsoft Windows PowerShell scripting engine to automate tasks with SCOM
• Experience in major Microsoft technologies including PC and server operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NPS, and Forefront Identity Management (FIM).
• Advance knowledge of management pack refinement and dashboard creation is required.
• Proven skills in SCOM dashboard design and management pack fine-tuning.
• Experience in System Center Lifecycle management including but not limited to upgrades, patching and system improvement.
• Ability to work in an international Corp. IT environment
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call duty rotation, willing to work in shifts
• Willingness to travel (approx. 10%)
• Basic understanding in all technologies, especially Exchange, SQL, Storage, Citrix, VMware, SharePoint, and Networking will be an add-on
• Basic understanding in cloud technologies Azure and AWS will be an add-on
• Experience in Software Distribution tools such as SCCM / Heat Software DMS Experience will be an add-on
• Excellent knowledge in managing workplace clients in a global enterprise environment is required like Windows 8/8.1/10, Office 2013/2016, Bit locker, Anti-Virus, FTP, LAN/WAN, VPN, Citrix, Direct Access, Basic Monitoring, etc will be an add-on

Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or other technology related degree required.
• Microsoft Certified System Engineer – (MCSE) is a must
• SCCM & SCOM Certification is beneficial
• ITIL Service Management Foundation Certification is a plus
