Job Description:

The Operations Head for Manufacturing Operations is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the manufacturing process. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong operational acumen to drive efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement in manufacturing operations. The Operations Head will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless production, meeting quality standards, and achieving operational excellence.

  1. Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align manufacturing objectives with overall business goals.
  1. Operational Excellence:
  • Oversee day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and quality targets are met.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
  1. Resource Management:
  • Manage and optimize resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production demands.
  • Collaborate with HR to recruit, train, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team.
  1. Quality Assurance:
  • Establish and maintain quality control processes to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to identify and address areas for improvement.
  1. Supply Chain Management:
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials.
  • Optimize inventory levels to balance production needs with working capital requirements.
  1. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and environmental compliance standards.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and promote a culture of safety awareness.
  1. Cost Management:
  • Develop and manage budgets for manufacturing operations.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-effective measures.
  1. Collaboration and Communication:
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams.
  • Interface with other departments, such as engineering, finance, and sales, to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  1. Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and ensure compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
  • Work with regulatory bodies as needed to address compliance issues.
  1. Performance Metrics:
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing operations.
  • Regularly monitor and report on performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.

Qualification:  Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

Experience:  Minimum 10-15 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on Operation Management.

Required Skills:  

  • Proven experience in a senior operations management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards
