Job Description:

Planning
● Pan and execute awareness campaigns and training programs as per schedule.
● Timely execute calibration, maintenance of safety equipment’s and maintain updated inventory of PPE’s.
● Execute planned corrective actions on RCA of HIRA and HAZOP observations.
● Plan daily activity for team and ensure execution.

Briefing (standing meeting)
● Conduct daily safety briefing on Do’s and Dont’s
● Use of PPE’s
● Day’s special tasks.

Operations – Execution
● Monitor safety concerns on shop floor, project work, suggest and take corrective actions and document.
● Conduct morning meeting and create a culture of Safety First.

● Conduct safety training program for labour contractors and predefined mukadams
● Implement SOP at shop floor
● Monitor and ensure working of plant related control measures (Gas detectors, SCBA, fire extinguishers,
abstract systems, Air- line respiration systems) and in case of abnormality in readings get them calibrated
● Keep and monitor expiry of medicines, antidote, and oxygen cylinders are ensure they are readily available.
● Carry out environment audit in coordination with Head as per schedule.
● Execute on site emergency exit plan, update and ensure all are made aware and is exhibited in common
places.
● Celebrate National Safety Day, World Environment Day and Fire Day in letter and spirit.
● Conduct safety completions and create awareness.
● Implement corrective action on points discussed in monthly meeting and submit report.
● Handover PPE’s to labours 10 minutes before their shift timings.
● Disallow visitor to enter shop floor or operations area without permission and safety gear.
● Give safety training to predefined safety Officers and ensure their presence across shifts.

Documentation
● Report near miss incident and accident to Head EHS
● Prepare and submit report of unsafe Act and conditions / process to head EHS.

Quality

● Adhere to Standard operating procedures.
● Physical verification of check list and adherence to SOP
● Calibrated instruments for accuracy
● Verification of tanker, packaging, driver check list and safety.
● Excellent housekeeping 5 S and maintain clean work environment.

Cost

● Ensure costs are controlled within sanctioned budgets.

Safety

● Take charge and direct in case of any abnormality/ accident/incident and ensure necessary statutory
compliance.
● Coordinate in Safety Trainings, Mock Drills, emergency preparedness.
● Monitor and ensure all team member wear safety PPE’s and adhere to safety procedures.

Housekeeping

● Ensure 5S is implemented all across the plant.
