Job Description:
Primary responsibilities:
- Performing somewhat complex product design, system analysis, and programming activities which may require some research
- Performing design, implementation and maintenance of single product modules/sub-systems or on lower level issues of multiple products.
- Preparing technical documentation of product sub-systems.
- Conducting the unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits.
- Performing somewhat complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products.
- Researching problems discovered by QA or product support and developing solutions to the problems.
Job requirements:
- Knowledge of structural mechanics, numerical methods and engineering design codes
- Experienced in FORTRAN, C, and C++ programming
- Existing proven knowedge of TCL programming, or ability to learn quickly
- Good verbal communication and writing skills are required
- Proven ability to implement complex numerical features
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of work experience in the field of structural software development or equivalent
- A Master's degree in the field of structural (civil or mechanical) engineering, and proven experience writing finite element analysis programs
- Working knowledge of ANSYS, STAAD, SAP2000, CSI Bridge is desirable
- Fluent in English
