Job Description:

Job Description – Quality Team
Quality Team is quasi compliance team which supports engagement teams in executing their assignments. Quality
team is responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring the Firm and its personnel’s compliance with Code of
Ethics of ICAI, Chartered Accountant Act, Standards on Auditing and such other Regulations / Standards. Quality team
is also responsible to help the teams face review from any external agencies like QRB, NFRA and Peer Review.
Detailed scope of work handled by Quality Team is as under:
? Standardisation
? Standardisation of workpapers for teams to follow in their assignments
? Preparing standard checklist as per Standards on Auditing, Companies Act, Code of Ethics etc.
? Standardisation of client deliverables (Reports, Certificates, Management Representation Letter,
Engagement letter, presentations)
? Updating the standards base on changes in regulations
? Policy and procedures
? Review existing practice within the Firm followed by firm in executing assignments
? Assess the gap of “What should be” and “What is” as per relevant standards on auditing, Code of Ethics,
SQC, Companies Act, SEBI reuglations or any other regulation or standards.
? Prepare revised / new policy based on analysis (Eg: Policy on Independence, Policy on Quality Reviewer,
Policy on Prevention of Insider Trading)
? Preparing Audit Manual as per Standards on Auditing
? Preparing SQC manual
? Implementation of system
? Design system to implement procedure
? Automate existing procedure
? Implement audit automation / filing system
? Use Microsoft tools to create automated system to ensure compliance with policies
? Monitoring
? Checking of compliance with policy and procedures by engagement teams
? Representing to Quality Leaders and take appropriate actions for the non-compliance
? Revise the existing policies and procedures based on the result of monitoring exercise
? Conducting reviews of filing done by the engagement teams as per Standards on Auditing and other regulatory
requirements
? Handling external review done on the Firm by Peer Reviewer, NFRA, QRB, etc.
? Team consultations, knowledge management and training
? Updating on new regulations (Companies Act, SEBI, RBI, IRDA, Standards on Auditing, SQC) and guiding
teams to comply them in their engagements
? Providing consultation to engagement teams on matter raised by them
? Training engagement teams on Quality aspects (Firm Policies, Standards on Auditing, Code of Ethics, SQC,
SEBI regulations etc.)
