Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Fully responsible for Cisco Data Center Unified Computing (UCS) environments, converged infrastructure and technology as primary responsibilities
• Responsible for the operation and optimization of global NetApp c-dot 8.3 and 7-mode 8.2.x systems
• Fully responsible for the operation and optimization of VMware vSphere ESXi 5.x and the Microsoft Hyper-V environments
• Follow Incident, Request, Problem, Change, Access Management processes based on ITIL and our IT-service management tool
• Responsible for the setup of an accurate monitoring of NetApp, VMware vCenter and Microsoft Hyper-V environment, services and applications using a Microsoft SCOM monitoring system
• Ensure that all systems and data are backed up to meet the business’ Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)
• Participate in and conduct Disaster Recovery Planning exercises to meet business’ Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)Troubleshoot and resolve service outages as they occur and follow up with after action reviews and root cause analysis
• Manage NetApp Storage, extend volumes or LUNs, supervise and handle faulty disks and ensure storage availability
• Conduct regular capacity planning assessments of the virtualization environments, storage systems and provide recommendations to the Plan & Build teams
• Improve service availability and performance by continuously fine tuning the systems, applying patches/updates, executing and monitoring maintenance jobs
• Assures the IT meets the Service Level Agreement and the operation of the IT infrastructure
• Help to keep IT infrastructure documentation up to date
• Monitor and measure system performance and resources, and if needed, make certain suggestions for optimal capacity and availability for the business IT infrastructure
• Understand and operate within company policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of proven experience as a NetApp Administrator.
• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience with NetApp cDot.
• Minimum of 8 years of proven experience as a VMware vSphere Administrator.
• Experience with VMware vCenter and vSphere ESXi 5.x environments and technologies.
• Experience with Cisco Data Center Unified Computing (UCS) environments, converged infrastructure and technology concepts is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Azure or other public cloud is a plus.
• Sound understanding of enterprise security concepts.
• Familiarity with Networking, Firewall and Hybrid Cloud concepts is a plus.
• Good command in English, further foreign languages are a plus.
• Ability to work in an international Corp. IT environment.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call duty rotation, willing to work in shifts.
• NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) on cDot is a plus
• VMware Certified Professional 5 – Data Center Virtualization (VCP5-DCV or VCAP5-DCA) is advantageous
• Microsoft MCITP: Virtualization is a plus
