Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant with expertise in import accounting to join our multinational company (MNC). As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards, specifically related to import activities. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and in-depth knowledge of import accounting principles, including Israeli import regulations, will contribute to the efficient financial management of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data related to import transactions.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, with a specific focus on import-related activities.
• Manage the day-to-day financial transactions related to imports, including accounts payable and receivable, duty payments, customs clearance, and foreign currency transactions.
• Monitor and analyze import-related financial performance indicators, identifying trends, and providing recommendations for improvements.
• Collaborate with the procurement and logistics teams to ensure accurate recording and reporting of import costs, including landed costs and import duties.
• Ensure compliance with import regulations and customs requirements, including the timely preparation and submission of import documentation, particularly related to imports from Israel.
• Work closely with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure accurate and efficient import processes.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities related to import costs, assisting in the development and monitoring of financial plans.
• Conduct periodic internal audits to assess import accounting controls and identify areas of potential risk or non-compliance.
• Assist in the preparation of import-related financial reports for management, shareholders, and regulatory bodies.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in import regulations, customs procedures, and accounting standards related to imports, particularly with respect to imports from Israel, and propose adjustments to internal policies and procedures as necessary.
• Utilize accounting software and ERP systems, particularly SAP, to streamline import-related financial processes and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
• Proven experience working as an Accountant, with specific expertise in import accounting, preferably in a multinational company or a complex financial environment.
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards , and import regulations and customs requirements, including Israeli import regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, particularly SAP, to effectively perform import-related financial tasks and analyze data.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present import-related financial information clearly and concisely.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Integrity and a high level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive import-related financial information.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Adaptability to handle changing priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
